HI, I'M KATRINA B
I am a photographer, observer, and steward of meaningful moments.
I don't believe my role is to create meaning. I believe my role is to cultivate space for it.
To slow down long enough to notice the beauty God is already revealing through people, places, relationships, and the seasons that shape us.
Through thoughtful preparation, intentional experiences, and faithful noticing, I hope to help others recognize their value and preserve the moments that matter most.
Photography is simply one way I preserve those glimmers of grace.
WHAT SHAPES MY PHILOSOPHY–
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the details that reveal care.
A patch of wildflowers growing and changing shape. A cat playfully engaging in the presence of its favorite human. A squirrel using its tiny hands to collect food. The way light spills across a room or enters a window. The way a hand reaches instinctively for another. The way the air smells of fresh flowers as spring apple blossoms begin to bloom. The way poplar trees sparkle in the wind.
The quiet evidence of grace hidden throughout ordinary life.
I believe God is constantly revealing beauty, wonder, truth, and purpose through His creation.
Not always through grand moments, but often through ordinary ones.
The more I slow down, the more I find there is to notice.
WHAT I BELIEVE–
I believe beauty is often hiding in plain sight.
I believe meaningful experiences are created through thoughtful details.
I believe gathering around a table, a campfire, or simply sharing space and time has the power to connect us more deeply to one another and to the Holy Spirit.
I believe photographs become heirlooms when they preserve not only how life looked, but how it felt.
And I believe God continues to reveal wonder in both the extraordinary and the everyday.
HOW THIS SHAPES MY PHOTOGRAPHY–
I believe meaningful imagery begins with both intention and presence.
I guide my clients through thoughtful preparations, wardrobe considerations, meaningful locations, beautiful light, and gentle direction.
But I also believe the most meaningful moments cannot be forced.
Once the space is created, my role becomes one of observation.
To notice the glance.
The laugh.
The squeeze of a hand.
The exhale.
The moment God gives that neither of us could have planned.
Those are often the images people treasure most.
WHY KATRINA B CO. MATTERS SO DEEPLY TO ME–
Because life is precious.
Because none of us are promised tomorrow.
Because every season, relationship, gathering, and ordinary moments are a gift.
My own journey has taught me that beauty is rarely found in perfect circumstances.
More often, it is found in the grace God faithfully reveals within them.
Through seasons of joy, grief, growth, healing, wonder, and loss, I have found Him present.
That belief shapes everything I create.
Photography preserves meaningful relationships and milestones.
The Carved Pines creates space for gathering, reflection, rest, and connection.
Collecting Diamonds is a place to reflect on the beauty, lessons, and glimpses of grace found throughout everyday life.
Though each expression looks different, they share the same purpose:
To help people slow down.
To notice what matters.
To see that they matter.
And to participate more fully in the life God has entrusted to them.
